Remediation techniques are intended to eliminate or reduce the concentration of pollutants in environmental matrices. Thanks to close connections with the international scientific community and our partner companies, we provide innovative solutions and technologies for the remediation of old landfills and contaminated sites, both by means of in situ and ex situ treatments. We also offer technical assistance during the remediation procedure providing investigation plans and formulation of the conceptual model, site characterization, risk analysis and coordination and work supervision during the remediation activities.

The actions are determined based on site-specific risk analysis and on the final use of the site. Remediation can take place in situ, ex-situ on site (removal of the contaminated material and in situ treatment) and ex situ off site.


Some of the remediation techniques that can be applied are Landfill Mining (LFM), thermal desorption, Air sparging, the Bioventing, Soil Vapor Extraction, in situ stabilization and inerting.
